Taskbar Meters
These handy monitors are pinned in your Taskbar and show the amount of resources being used. There are three meters for CPU utilization, Memory usage, and Disk IO.

You can configure the Update frequency and percentage of Red and Yellow states for each monitor. The CPU Meter shows the amount of processing power your computing tasks are taking up.

Memory Meter shows the amount of memory that is being used by the apps you’re running.

Disk I/O Meter measures the transfer of data from your hard drive to and from applications.

Right-click on a meter to get fast access to Task Manager and Resource Monitor. That allows you to get more detail on what’s taking up so many resources, and let’s kill the task or process.

Taskbar Meters are simple to use and don’t require installation, so you can carry them around on your flash drive to monitor different computers. The meters come in a zipped file and you can run them individually or together. They worked successfully on 32 & 64-bit versions of Windows 7. If you need a quick and easy way to keep track of these three vital system components, Task Meters will work great.

Google Search is getting more visual. Google is adding universal search elements to Google Suggest, i.e. the drop-down list of suggested keywords that appear under the search box as you type. Now you may find suggestion box filled with results from universal search, which may include weather, flight status, definitions, calculations, currency conversions, and more. Universal results tend to have a visual component, such as the sun-and-cloud icons that appear for weather-related searches or the clock for time-related searches.
Google is concerned on making the search faster and faster.Google has also launched an extension called Quick Scroll which helps you find the part of a web page that triggered a search result. So when you do a search and then click through to a results page, a black box pops up in the lower right-hand corner of the screen which will take you exactly to the place on the page which most closely matches your search query. Once again, this is designed to get you to the information you are looking for faster rather than just using the “find” function in your browser.

Try some of these tips for extending your wireless range and improving your wireless network performance.
1. Position your wireless router (or wireless access point) in a central location
When possible, place your wireless router in a central location in your home. If your router is against an outside wall of your home, the signal will be weak on the other side of your home. Don’t worry if you can’t move your router, because there are many other ways to improve your connection.

2. Move the router off the floor and away from walls and metal objects (such as file cabinets)
Metal, walls and floors will interfere with your router’s wireless signals. The closer your router is to these obstructions, the more severe the interference, and the weaker your connection will be.
